I have been scouring the literature for a recent, validated version of trust in manager, and have been surprised to see how inconsistent the measurement has been. A recent Academy of Mgt article by Schoorman, Mayer, and Davis review the status of this issue, and offer some possible options.

The Simons, Friedman, Lui, and Parks (2002) article did a great job of validating the measure of BI (which I will use), but I see that your measure of Trust in the Manager was self-developed based on the Mayer et al conceptualization (which I agree with as well). Can you please share what the other 3 items in your 6-item measure were, so I can see how closely they align with some of the recommendations by Schoorman et al? Thanks!
